You will not be able to unzip again if you fouled up something, but otherwise you are free to delete the zip file after having 'consumed' it. The extracted files are not affected by the deletion of the zip archive. 'windows.old' were disk clean up can delete it. So with that we can use that to delete your zip file. Go to C:  Create a folder called 'windows.old' Cut and past the zip file in that folder. Run disk clean up as an admin; and select 'previous windows installation' that should take of that zip file. Right-click your selected files or folder, then click Zip selection. You can view each of the individual files in your zip file. In the corner of your screen, select the Launcher Up arrow. Double-click the zipped file. On the left, you'll see the zip file. To open an individual file, double-click it. I'm using Safari on iPhone 5S (iOS 8.1.3) to surf the web. Unfortunately, it downloaded a.zip file. I don't know how to delete it. I try to open it in a app and delete it in that app. However, opening the safari this file's still there. Thanks for your help.

I have this funny habit of keeping the zip files on my comp even after I extract them and view all the files and pics in them and knowing that I dont need the zip file anymore. I guess these zip files will slowly start clogging my hard disk. What do you do after extracting and seeing all the files that are in zip or rar files?

Hi, I never delete the zip/rar files after extracting the files in the zip/rar. In my opinion, I scare that I will lost the extracted files and I will use the rar/zip files as my extra copies and I keep them in my external hard disk. So, I have a lot of rar/zip files in my computer and my external hard disk.

You're right, unnecessary files will eventually slow down your computer. I don't immediately delete zip files but I do computer housekeeping about once a month and they go then.

I guess it takes a loooooot of zip files to actually slow down your comp or fill it up. But for me I just realise that they make it difficult to find files as they are strewn all over my documnets and they make the file folders look messy!

I tend to unzip a file, use it then delete the file i unzipped and keep the zipped file. This way it saves space and I keep the files labeled clearly enough that i can re-find the items if i need to. I don't zip files of photos though. I just burn those to cd/dvd and store them off my computer

Case to case. If the zip files is the one I have downloaded or received from somebody then I do delete such after I have extracted it's content. But if the zip file is the one that I have created, then I maintain it there as long as I need it in the future, the reason why I maintain the zip file is that when I have updated the contents and want to zip it again, it is faster since the program will only change its contents because the file was already in there.

I always delete them. I don't see any point in keeping them around when they'll just end up making my computer much slower than it already is. I make sure the file unzipped correctly and then I put it in the recycle bin. Once I'm sure everything is good, I clean out my recycling bin every few days.

yeah i do delete the zip/rar files after extracting them. coz i have all the files i need so i guess i dont need the zip/rar files anymore

i always delete zip or rar file after extracting no need to keep zip file. you receive zip file from internet because uploading many file takes time so unloader zip it make it one and upload it and zipping it make file smaller in size.

Yes i do delete them. I see no point keeping them around afterwards when i already have the file/s.

if i was to say delete the zip/rar files and the extracted files as well because all my songs are then transfered to my itunes folders and stuff, would that be okay if i wanted to transfer all of them to another computer in the near future? i.e - just copying all the itunes folders onto a external hard drive and then plugging it into the new laptop?

I have never extracting files if its not needed for setup. for example only one file its needed. IO rather open it from the arcive into memory and make setup. and keeping archived file only, not extracted one. :) .

After I verify the contents of the zip file to ensure the files work perfectly (for those people who think that it's ridiculous because the same bad file would be in the zip file, I'm not sure if they can ever be corrupted from extraction, but I make sure just in case), I delete the file. Though I don't usually empty my recycle bin and if I ever need it within the next few months it usually just sits in my recycle bin anyways.

Icloud app for mac. I understand that you are experiencing an issue with Safari for iOS. I would recommend clearing all website data, force closing Safari and restart the phone. One this is done test the results. 

Clear information from your device
To clear your history and cookies from Safari in iOS 8, tap Settings > Safari > Clear History and Website Data. In iOS 7 or earlier, tap Clear History and tap Clear Cookies and Data.

To clear other stored information from Safari, tap Settings > Safari > Advanced > Website Data > Remove All Website Data.
